Wednesday, 3 September 2014

Its been a while since I joined in with WOYWW dear readers but this Wednesday marks a very important part of our year - the children go back to school today!  I have such plans!!  Some of my plans for this week involve getting in my studio and making some stuff - woop woop!  Some of my plans involve getting my house back into some sort of order so that we are ready for house viewings at the weekend.  Our house sale fell through recently after waiting since April so we have to start all over again - meh.
So what is on my table of craft after such a long time?  Well...  Top left is my Learn Something New Everyday book that I am determined to put something in this year.  Its a class run by Shimelle every September and I made this book 3 years ago and never put anything in it.  2 years ago I changed the date on the front to start again and never put anything in it.  Last year I didn't even try.  I am keeping a record this year and trying to take daily photos so hopefully something will go in there at some point.

In the centre of the table I have some very exciting things!!  I was picked as a winner in a Cosmo Cricket giveaway on Facebook and within about 4 days I had a parcel arrive from America!  Inside was a wall sconce, 4 matching mason jar lids (I need wide necked jars now!), a sweet little pink hanger with clips on and a pad of 12x12 vellum!  If you know where I can get the jars from then please do let me know (in the UK) because I would love them to go in my new studio, if / when we move!

Right, on with the cleaning.  6 weeks of summer holidays and I don't even recognise my house anymore!  Don't forget to link up with Julia if you want to join in with the desk hop :-)

Bye for now

  1. September seems to be a good month for starting new classes - back to school for us crafters. But I will be cleaning house and studio too instead. Thanks for the peek at your desk, enjoy your CC goodies.

  2. Ooh an exciting parcel. No idea on the jars myself, but Jaki might be the girl to ask. Enjoy settling back into your daily routine. One more day left for us and we're going to buy school shoes this morning. I know!

  3. Six weeks is a long time isn't it! my house is still in utter chaos and my children went back yesterday! still its much more fun to snoop at peoples desks than tidy up isn't it! congratulations on the win and good luck with the LSNED - I did it about five years ago and still occasionally look through the book although I haven't done another one since. 4. Actually, I bet you'll enjoy getting the house back into order now that the kids have gone back to school! You've had a lovely summer though, haven't you? Done all sorts of fab things :-)
Good luck with the house selling Take 2. Hopefully this will be the time for you!
    Hugs, LLJ 24 xx

  5. It's good to see you back :)

I think I've seen jars in TK Maxx, you could try there. Best of luck with the viewings again

  6. Congrats on your win from Cosmo Cricket - exciting to get a parcel. Good luck with the cleaning ... and make sure you get lots of crafting time too now that the kids are back at school. Thanks for sharing your workspace today. Hazel, WOYWW, #34 x

  7. oh, sorry about your house sale, so frustrating, hope it all works out for you soon. What a fun parcel of intriguing goodies you have there and your little book looks inspiring, hope you get to work in it this year! Happy WOYWW :o) Annie C #45

  10. I think we are all in the same boat. I hope to get sorted on Friday when all mine are back at school. goof luck with the house sale x

  11. House selling can be so frustrating. It's funny but when I was teaching I used to look forward to the school holidays, now I can't wait for them to end LOL!
It's so much quieter when the children go back.
    Happy crafting, Angela x 38

  12. Sorry the move fell through, but hope you'll be successful now. Enjoy reclaiming the house now the kiddos have gone back, and have a great week. Chris # 29

  13. Gosh having to go through the process of keeping the house neat and tidy for another selling run, I feel for you it is a tedious task but hopefully you sell it soon. Some great goodies on the desk to play with too. Hope you have a wonderful crafting week. Sorry I am in Australia where you can get Mason jars for $2 but that is no help to you.

    Hugs Eliza & Yoda 49
    Happy WOYWW
