WOYWW 130 - one and half spaces...

Yes that's right, one and half spaces to share today.  My normal crafting area, my wonderful pink craft room, is currently a haven of Christmas organisation.  I have separate piles for each person so that I can decide if I am finished buying for them and then wrap with coordinated papers.  Anal?  Yes!  But it helps me to sort out whose present is whose when there are piles of gifts under the tree.  And for the record, aside from a bike, I am done with buying.  Of course there will be other little things for stockings sneaking into my bags (after being paid for obvsiously!) when I can't resist but the trauma of "must buy" has gone for the year.  Huzzah!  I want to get everything wrapped as soon as possible because I am anal like that but also because I want my room back.

In the meantime, I am trying to prepare as much as possible for Journal Your Christmas and I have almost finished my date tags.  I just have 40 buttons to thread and stick on so that is what I am doing.  On the sofa.

And yes, for the record, that is a precarious place to keep a jar of buttons.  And yes, for the record, I did spill said jar of buttons down the side of the sofa.  I had nightmares last night about lost precious buttons languishing among the fluff and hairbands in the dark depths of the sofa lining.  *shudder*.

And with that dear WOYWW-ers, I bid you farewell as I have a little chap here to entertain for the day due to the strikes.  We've got lots planned as we rarely have more than 5 minutes alone together so we shall make the most of it, but I will be around the desks later.  Stop by Julia's blog for the worldwide list of desks to snoop at.

Bye for now
xx

  1. Ohhh I've had a good nosey amongst all those lovely pressies. What gorgeous things you buy. Is that a box of sized tea cups or mixing bowls?
I'm so glad your JYC is nearly there. I think mine will end up being thrown together as I go. Last years still has some photos to be added. I wish I was as organised as you!!
    Happy WOYWW

  2. Lol Lisa-Jane, have you not heard of gift tags?? Like the look of the pressies piled up, wish I was on your gift list!!

My JYC prep has ground to a halt and I am not sure how much time I will have to dedicate to it after all. Hope Shimelle will be up and running tomorrow as she hasn't been able to complete the Pretty Paper Party.

  8. Oooh lovely desk full of goodies there! Well done on having them all in and nearly wrapped - we have got all of ours now (OH organised most of them!) just need to wrap them now. Love your Keep Calm and Carry On book and I too precariously balance items everywhere whilst telling myself not to and usually spill them too! I wonder why we do that???? Thanks for sharing. 10. You're so organised, I envy that - it's a real talent and one in which I'm sadly lacking. I have also done the 'Oh, that's perfectly ok to balance that cup of tea there......' You'd think we're old enough to know better, eh?? Lol

  11. Wow that's a great desk, and I can't believe how organised you are! Which pile's mine then, lol??? Love those cups, are they for baking? Hope you can get back to crafting soon now that the Christmas prep is over. Be carfeul with those buttons! I'm such a klutz, I knock absolutely everything over constantly!

  12. What a relief it must be to have done all your shopping! I've almost done mine and have a cunning plan for the remainder which is always helpful! Good luck with your wrapping and getting your craft room back.

  13. I love that you are so organised. Always my aspiration but so rarely achieved!! Your precarious button perch brings to mind the occasion when I left an open container of tiny beads in a similar position - yes I am shuddering to think of how long it took me to pick them all up!! Hope you had a lovely day with your little chap. Cindy #71

  15. Oh LJ, made me laugh twice - precious buttons - oh my, you have got it bad!! AND the comment about paying for the pressies before they go in your bag...oh la la, it hadn't even occurred to us that you wouldn't!! Love that set of pastel bowls on the corner of your incredibly busy but organised table. Look forward to seeing the bike all wrapped up on the table next week!!
