WOYWW 135

Happy New Year to all you WOYWW-ers!

I am back and blogging again and I will be visiting everyone I have missed so much over the festive season.  You'll find the list of sharers at Julia's Stamping Ground.

I have been working on a few things in the last couple of weeks including a Pass The Page for a blog hop which should go live around the end of the month, and also some DT work for S J Papercrafts (the new kit which is about to be released).  Also of course I have been busy working on my Christmas Journal.  I've done a few pages but I am actually enjoying doing it after the event with the benefit of hindsight.  I'm waiting for a couple of photos and then I can post them up.

I've got a lot to catch up on and today is the day I take back control because it the first day I have had without one or both of the children for about 5-6 weeks what with school holidays and all the poorliness that came before.  I am very grateful that we were pretty much bug free for Christmas itself even though we are all just a bit worn out still.  I will be making good use of my time putting away all my lovely stash that I got in various sales and for Christmas presents over the last 4 weeks or so.  I'll post up a picture when I've cleared some space.

One of my sale purchases was a splurge on Promarkers.  I have fallen in love with colouring again.  You can just see a Christmas picture peeking out in the bottom left corner but I think I need to look out for a non-Christmas grown-ups colouring book now ;-)

I hope the New Year is treating you well so far.

Bye for now
xx

  1. Hey there!! Missed you last week... am glad you're back now :)
It was a very quiet Christmas chez LLJ, due to various family members being ill - not me thankfully. I'm glad to be tidied away after Christmas, ready for the New Year. I'm quite excited about 2012, hope it's going to be a good one! Fancy meeting up soon??
    Happy New Year!
    Hugs, LLJ #34 xx

  4. Looks like you have been having fun LJ. I don't know what to do with my Christmas journal. I've reached page 6 and that feels like too far to abandon it, but too much to finish off??

  9. So much nice things to see on your desk. I love the pink with white polka dots table cloth!! Definitely need something cheerful like that to protect my dining room table (er, my craft desk).

We all are in catch up mod, I think!

  10. Sounds like a lot on your plate, but having a routine is always good I find. Will be looking out for your Christmas and sale goodies post, I love seeing new stash, especially if it's my own, lol!! I love colouring too and have really got into water colouring last year, I hope to learn more this year and get better.

  11. The craft sales are great after Christmas aren't they. I've indulged too but must be good now and use what I have instead of being seduced by new stash!!
I'm glad to hear you had a good Christmas and stayed bug free and good luck with all your New Years Resolutions. You have a great outlook on life and the year.
A Very Happy New Year to you and yours, Lisa. It was great chatting with you on WOYWW last year and I look forward to seeing what's on your pink polkadot table this year.

  15. That looks like such a fun desk to have a rummage through! There are some great non-Christmas colouring books out there - I am particularly fond of my Biology and Microbiology colouring books - very therapeutic! :)

  19. a child free desk is a beautiful thing.... deep into the long summer break here in Australia so feeling very envious of what must be a lovely quiet time... happy woyww...xx

  20. LJ, I've read your previous post too - what a beautiful picture - I wish you calm and reading time in the New Year, although as Jan and I awant to meet you , that may not necessarily be immediate calm! Im a slave to my routine I admit, and am easily depressed when I think things are getting out of control, but am also well aware of that..now. The other thing of course is that my child is an adult now, so I don't have to carve out time as carefully as you. Now I have some time, I procrastinate!!

  22. Looks like your desk is a very busy desk. I really want one of those Bostik tape guns, but unfortunately on my recent trip to the US...I ran out of space in my luggage and had to leave it on the shelf. This is my first visit to your blog, but will be back again. Have a great year of creating.
