I have 2 more weeks of LSNED to catch up on but I'm not sure when that will be at the moment. On Thursday, my lesson was that I learn't that my Dad's partner had died very suddenly. Everything has been up in the air since then while we wait to find out exactly what happened etc. They had lived together for the last 15-16 years I think and my dad is 76 in a couple of weeks, so I'm obviously very worried about how he will cope as she did absolutely everything for him. It brought home to me how quickly life can change and how we really must make the most of what we have. It seems so wrong to be so sad when the weather is so wonderful. She loved to be out in the sun so I know that she will be really cross about missing this unusually warm weather.
I'm finding that I am itching to scrap while I digest this shocking change in our lives so I will be back very soon I'm sure.
Bye for now
xx
so sorry to read of your sad news! xx love to you all xx
ReplyDeleteReally sorry to hear about your dad's partner, and I hope you'll cope with the inevitable change in circumstances. My parents are now very elderly but thankfully still in very good health, and we are planting the idea of a move before they become unable to cope with it. Watching your parents age is never easy, and it can be hard to implement change when they tend to be naturally resistant to it.
ReplyDeleteThank you for your lovely comment on my blog! I've just uploaded another post describing the grungey clock face I've made this afternoon to go on my steampunk mirror with some of those moulded embellishments. You are right about the moulds being a good investment - they should last indefinitely, and I'll be able to produce as many little gears as I want lol!!
Shoshi's definitely all geared up.
It's such a shock when something like this happens. Feel so sorry for you. She would have enjoyed this crazy old weather we're having...
ReplyDeleteYour suggested song titles had me hooting this morning!! You definitely win the prize for the best split pea lyrics - now there's a phrase you don't hear very often. I'd like to send you something small just cos you made me laugh so much and hopefully it would cheer you up too. Email me your addy and I'll get it off tomoz xx
Hugs,
LLJ xx
