As you can see it is rather empty. Despite finishing a couple of layouts last week, I have since tidied up a bit and not quite started again yet. I have a crop on Saturday though so I had best get a wriggle on. I'm thinking of doing the Creative Stash Diving Technique from Shimelle's Pretty Paper Party class... wish me luck!
In the meantime I shall leave you with the layout I created from the first prompt about using strips of paper.
We were lucky enough to get a ride on Chitty Chitty Bang Bang at Beaulieu and L even got to wear the actual hat worn by Professor Potts in the film!
I cheated a bit because I made some of the white based patterns into cream based patterns by smudging them with Vintage Photo and I did break into a whole sheet of that gorgeous woodgrain but its about using up the papers right? And I do like it :-)
So now, please do share your desks and check out the other like-minded individuals at Julia's blog. I'll be perusing other desks later on but at the moment we are without heating and hot water so I will be keeping warm by doing some housework - gah!
Bye for now
xx

ReplyDeleteI think you're doing great given the events of the past month - do stuff when you feel like it! If I come to Winchester, I'll definitely give you a shout - are there any particular days you are free? Tidy desk btw, but I would love to know what you use that bright pink flower pot for that appears regularly in shot :)

Oh I love this layout!! Lucky you getting a ride on CCBB. And yes it is all about using up the papers (or at least that's what I tell myself as I'm trying to make myself cut into a new piece of paper......) TFS Cindy #26

ReplyDeleteFab layout, hope you have a good crop! Happy WOYWWing! Lisa Sparkle :)
ReplyDeleteLove the smudging, it tones down the 'too bright' white background perfectly. I've seen lots of folk, around blogland, having a go at the stash diving and coming up with great results. Go for it!
ReplyDeleteI love the LO how fab! Love chitty one of my favs you are very lucky x
ReplyDeleteI love the way the strips echo the wooden planking on the car - you couldn't have picked a better set of pictures to go with this technique :)
ReplyDeleteCan't see any cheating going on there, personally! It's a fab DL and you should be proud of it! Am equally envious that you got to ride CCBB - we've only just introduced Lil Miss B to the film, and finally she "gets" it when sing the song...LOL
ReplyDeleteI have seen the car at a local steam fair, but never had the chance of a ride in it. Awesome.

Your desk looks like 'in between'. I mean... last project finished, new project not started jet. Your lay out looks beautiful and you've used the right paper :-D.
ReplyDeleteThanks for visiting me. Bye, Franka
Hey Lisa-jane
ReplyDeleteI know The Stamp Attic has Memory Box dies and stamps and I also know that anyone who stocks these products has a hard time keeping them on the shelves!! Even my local store here in Michigan has that problem! Have a look at MB paper too, stunningly beautiful!

The Lo is fab..I'm saving all the classes from Shimelle for when I have luxury time to go through them - and it's a good thing, by then I'll have loads of papers to use up!! Your desk looks as if it could do with some diving...funny isn't it, how a tidy table makes you want to get stuck right in!
ReplyDeleteWhat a gorgeous pink polka dot desktop! Love it. Gorgeous layout too - great colour scheme. Happy belated WOYWW, Shoshi #84
ReplyDeleteOMigosh, that layout is so pattern perfect. I really love what you did. :) Super work! (And I love your table cloth).
ReplyDeleteI love your LO, and good luck with the technique! Happy late WOYWWED!
ReplyDeleteI *love* this layout - saw it on the forum and drooled over it there, so it's great to see it more clearly here :) And I hope you're feeling warmer now!
